On Sunday 25th March 2018 I travelled just north of Brisbane to Lake Eden in the suburb of North Lakes. On this visit I stayed mainly around the North-West side of the lake, at the golf course end. I wanted to concentrate mainly on the Little Wattlebirds that I captured for the first time a week earlier, and they certainly didn't disappoint me. Got some nice portraits of Australasian Swamphen, up close to Rainbow Lorikeets in a large tree, and a single Welcome Swallow on a handrail. I got down on the gorund to get some shots of a family of Australian Magpie, who always look regal and intense. Some other birds captured were female Superb Fairy-Wren, Australasian Darter, Little Pied Cormorant, Great Cormorant, and the always amusing Little Wattlebird. A nice productive morning out, with lots of local people enjoying the lovely weather and the nice lake surroundings.
