20190422-MMPI0053 - Oxley Creek Common
On Monday 22nd April I ventured to nearby Oxley Creek Common at Rocklea, Queensland, Australia. I was there for sunrise and was rewarded with some lovely soft light for the first couple of hours. Lots of Fairwrens around today, one very calm female Superb Fariywren in particular gave me great access as she preened on a branch, allowing me to get quite close. Captured a MIstletoebird feeding on red berries of the Broad-leafed Pepper Tree, a Spangled Drongo and a wonderful little Willie Wagtail who took flight as I clicked the shutter - not quite sharp but a shot that made me very happy when I opened it on the computer. A Black-shouldered Kite perched on a power line then soared and hovered overhead giving me some good opportunities. A lovely morning out at one of my favourite birding locations in Brisbane.
